Dr. Mazhar Bari

portraitDr. Bari holds a PhD & MPhil in Physics from the University of Cambridge (1996), BSc(HONS) in experimental Physics from University College Dublin (1991), MBA Smurfit School of Business, Dublin (2003). He was the programme manager of a €6M SFI funded research project on Nanoscale Spin Electronics (2001-2006). His core expertise is in nanomaterials, thin film device fabrication and device physics.

 

Brendan Cummins (Non Executive Director)

Former CEO of Ciba Specialty Chemicals

Mr. Cummins is the former CEO of Ciba Specialty Chemicals, which he ran up until its take-over by BASF in 2009.  Mr. Cummins joined CIBA in 1971 and his roles within the company included COO, Head of Plastic Additives and Regional President for Greater China. Mr. Cummins is a fellow of the Institute of Company Accounts.

 

 

Andre Fernon (Non Executive Director)

Mr. Fernon holds a Masters Degree in Management from the ESCP Europe and a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College Dublin. He started his career as a financial analyst within the Morgan Stanley Investment Banking Division and subsequently worked in private equity, most recently as a director of Crownway Investments.

 

Naoise Cosgrove (Non Executive Director)

Mr.Cosgrove has extensive experience in banking and financing transactions, asset and property finance transactions (investment and development), tax based lending, PPP, structured finance, syndicated loans, and work-outs. Naoise also advises on joint ventures, commercial and contractual arrangements, and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Cosgrove graduated with a BComm from UCC and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Ross Walker (Non Executive Director)

Mr. WalKer is a highly experienced start-up specialist with a strong technology backgroud. He is currently the CEO of Oxford RF Sensors which is a spin out from the University of Oxford. Oxford RF develop sensors for the automotive, aerospace and industrial sectors. Prior to Oxford RF Sensors Mr. Walker was CEO of Quad Electoracoustics sold to Verity Group Plc. and then became a Director of Verity which merged which NXT.

Padraic White (Senior Advisor to the Board)

Former CEO of the Industrial Development Authority

portraitMr. White was Managing Director of the Industrial Development Authority in the decade to June 1990 when Ireland endured and then emerged from the last prolonged recession. During his tenure, the IDA brought some of the leading multinationals such as Microsoft, IBM and Intel to Ireland.

Since the IDA, Padraic has advised governments around the world on the promotion of foreign direct investment as a senior consultant for FIAS (World Bank), EU Phare and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
