About SolarPrint

SolarPrint Limited, founded in 2008 by Dr. Mazhar Bari, Andre Fernon and Roy Horgan  in Dublin, Ireland, develops photovoltaic (PV) energy technologies, designed to convert light from any source into energy. SolarPrint’s technology has been devised to work in the same way that a plant converts light to energy using photosynthesis. The company develops Dye-Sensitised Solar Cells (DSSC), a third-generation printable solar cell technology, which can be produced using cheap raw materials at a highly competitive cost.

SolarPrint's technology has the potential to be adopted into various consumer electronic and wireless devices however given its high performance in ambient or diffuse light the company has developed its DSSC to integrate with wireless sensors for energy harvesting purposes in buildings.  Wireless energy management systems provide significant cost savings by eliminating wired networks while addressing the need to replace or lengthen the life of batteries.

SolarPrint is headquartered at Sandyford Business Park, Dublin, Ireland.
