SolarPrint's Multi-Sensor Series

The Multi-Sensor Series is being developed to power occupancy sensors, gas sensors and multi-sensory building controls as part of a building energy management wireless network.

The Multi-Sensor Series is targeted towards Original Equipment Manufacturers who have specific requirements for energy harvesting wireless applications that need “more power” such as

  • Gas Sensors
  • Motion Sensors
  • More complex multi-sensor devices that combine many sensors into one device with richer functionality sensors through:
    • New protocols (EnOcean, Zigbee Green Power)
    • Faster duty cycles
    • Increased performance in low light
    • Faster charging times
    • Longer storage life

Product Description

SolarPrint’s first product line to market will be the SP5848 Energy Harvesting module. This product is targeted at the Wireless Sensor market for initial release in 2012. The release specification of the SP5848 is outlined below.

Device Design

Based on requirements gathered from key target customers, the SP5848 device design is specifically tailored for wireless sensor devices

Customers End-Product Integration

SolarPrint's energy harvesting devices will be integrated into the power management micro-electronics sub-system our customers wireless sensor nodes. A key design challenge is to fully optimise the power budget from the energy harvesting device at low light levels to the sensor node. SolarPrint's power management sub-system within a sensor actively addresses this challenge.

It is a core value of SolarPrint to actively engage with our customers and partners to support their design and integration needs.
